Educational video series for pros launches

by Amanda Haar

Spraying technology company Titan just announced a new video series designed to elevate the level of craftsmanship, skills and business practices of painting professionals.

Available for free at the PaintersTradeCraft.com, the series features exclusive content presented by recognized industry professionals Nick Slavik, familiar to many from his Ask a Painter live show, and Chris Berry, also recognized for his educational content at The Idaho Painter.

TradeCraft’s site’s how-to videos feature step-by-step instructions and candid advice beneficial to both seasoned pros as well as those new to the industry, and are also ideal for training new employees and apprentices. Topics currently included, or to be included in the future, are: painting and preparation techniques, equipment use and maintenance, jobsite tips, successful business practices, trends affecting the industry, and ideas for new services to offer customers.

Currently, three series exist on the site, featuring 14 videos ranging in length from 1.5 to 9.5 minutes long each, which can be viewed on mobile devices and computers 24/7. The series includes:

  • Tips on Spray Tips – features Chris Berry explaining the differences between standard pressure, lower-pressure HEA, and fine finish tips
  • Cabinet Finishing: The Equipment – features Nick Slavik highlighting what equipment is best for finishing cabinets
  • Inner-Feed Roller Insight – features Chris Berry demonstrating how to maximize the performance power of an inner-feed roller

New videos will be added every other month. Upcoming topics will include: jobsite tips and tricks, trade skills development, proficiency and craftsmanship, and business best practices. All videos are simultaneously posted to Titan’s YouTube channel. Subscribers to the channel will be notified when new videos post.
