Help PDCA effort to provide health benefits program to the industry

by inPAINT

PDCA is working to assess the potential of bringing benefits—medical, dental, vision and even retirement plans—to painting contractors and their employees in late 2019.

Working with Decisely, a benefits consulting company, PDCA conducted a recent survey to get an initial assessment. There was an overwhelming response, which revealed a large need in our industry for these services.

GETTING THE EFFORT INTO UNDERWRITING

The next step is providing the underwriters with data so they can get a sense of size and scope of the industry. What is required is statistical data on at least 1,500 employees (painters and office personnel) in the painting contracting industry.

To gather this data, we have developed a short census that includes position, date of birth, home ZIP code, gender, and date of hire. There are no health-related questions.

WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW

In order to deliver this health benefit program, we need this data by April 12th.

To participate, visit the PDCA site and fill in the online form or upload a spreadsheet. And for benchmarking purposes, it will be extremely helpful if you can include the following:

  • Copy of your current Summary Plan Description of all benefits offered (medical, dental, vision)
  • Pricing/rates for these various coverages, including employer contributions for coverage levels
  • Copy of your most recent insurance bill: medical/dental/vision

PDCA cannot move this project into underwriting without your participation, which will help the entire industry.
