THE MAGAZINE FOR PROFESSIONALS

Porch.com expands features and launches ‘Porch Perks’

by Amanda Haar

porchIn an effort to make it easier for home improvement pros to connect with customers, Porch.com expanded features for both national and regional service providers, as well as local pros.

With its new ‘Enterprise Direct Connect,’ larger companies can integrate into Porch’s project marketplace and have requests flow directly into their CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

On the other hand, for smaller, locally-based pros, Porch.com has added several new capabilities that give businesses more flexibility and choice in selecting projects to bid on.

The new ‘Pay As You Go’ feature allows pros to browse a list of homeowner projects in a desired area and choose who to connect with. With this feature, pros can essentially test drive the Porch project marketplace or use it to fill an occasional hole in their schedule.

A new ‘Reserve’ feature is designed to save pros even more time. Instead of searching for projects to bid on, a pro can set criteria based on scope of work and projects budgets. Projects that meet the criteria will automatically be ‘reserved’ and delivered to the pro each month.

In addition to new functionality features, Porch also launched ‘Porch Perks,’ a free program available to all of its Porch ‘Guaranteed Professionals.’ Guaranteed pros undergo an extensive screening and background check, meet licensing and insurance requirements, consistently receive high reviews, and sign a Porch Pledge.

These qualified pros are then able to receive dozens of business discounts and local deals. Discounted products and services include home products, legal services, payment processing benefits, even food for their crew.
