Product guide: coatings and applicators
In our Dec 2017/Jan 2018 issue of inPAINT magazine we featured the publication’s annual Product Guide focusing on coatings and applicators. CLICK ON IMAGE to access the 2018 Product Guide.
The Guide is organized by product type rather than manufacturer and provides a digestible, at-a-glance overview of specific types of best-in-class coatings and applicators manufacturers want painting professionals to know about. Many are time-tested while others are new to the market. Here’s a glimpse of the easy-to-navigate Guide:
COATINGS
The inPAINT Product Guide features a wide-range of coatings and the attributes important to professional painters. This section covers 14 unique product categories selected for their relevance to the type of work.
Interior and exterior paints are listed by grade: economy, mid-grade and premium. In addition, the comprehensive Guide lists other specialized products: primers, stains, and coatings for metal, concrete and masonry, porch and floor, and stucco surfaces. There’s even a category for specialty coatings.
APPLICATORS
This section lists brushes, rollers and sprayers—and highlights their most important features. Brushes are broken down by their type of use (interior and exterior), material type (synthetic and natural), and type of coating (oil based and water based). It also covers specialty tools (stain applicators, combs, etc.).
Rollers are organized by the nature of work: production, finish and specialty, and further subdivided by material (knitted or woven).
And the sprayer section features the latest rigs in four categories: electric airless, gas airless, handheld, and specialty sprayers.
